VNC compilation against Xorg 1.4

Hello,

VNC has been broken for some time, since xorg-server 1.4 was released.  The
API
has changed significantly.  I've started to assemble a basic patch for it,
but
then I realized how involved such a patch is when not being familiar with the
new or old APIs.

Is there any sort of estimate for when this will be resolved?
