Color level always sets automatically to "Full"

Hi, I have installed the newest version of VNC-Viewer on 
several WinXP PCs and whenever I connect to a server, the 
color level automatically sets to its highest level (also if I 
deselect "Autselect"). I never experienced this before but do 
not know whether it has to do with the version; normally once 
set to "Low" it stayed at that value until changed manually. As I 
have a low-speed connection this is very ennoying. Can 
anybody give me a hint?
