15 Bit color RGB555

Hi,

I have some older thin client devices which only support a 15bit  
display using RGB555

I?m running a fedora core 8 installation with Xvnc Free 4.1.2

I?m trying to force Xvnc to use the right display depth and pixel  
format so that the colors aren?t all screwy.

Command: vncserver ?depth 15 ?pixelformat RGB555 :1

Returns:

Fatal server error:
Couldn?t add screen 0


I?ve tried various combinations of 15/16 bit colour depth and pixel  
formats but none of them produce the correct color palette required by  
the thin clients.

Any guidance would be appreciated on getting this to work.
