Different PixelDepths

Duncan,

The two X servers are probably using different depth 24 colour formats, in
which case specifying the desired format with -pixelformat rather than
-depth to Xvnc will get things working.

Alternatively, you could try looking for a version of the application
software that has a fix for the problem.
