could not connect to VNC server

Hi,

I am new to VNC server. I installed the
VNC server on my PC using a home
router.
Hence I enabled port forwarding for
port 5900 on my router and started
my VNC server.
Then I tested my server
using nettest.cgi and found the
following message.

The IP address
requesting this web page is 70.143.85.253 (REMOTE_ADDR)
Connecting to port
5900 ... succeeded. 

Waiting for server to send version
string...
=======================================================

After
"waiting for
server" it doesn't find any server on my system.
Similarly I get
an error when
I try to connect my server using vnc viewer.
Is there any issue
with my server
setting?
Please help me to resolve this issue.
